other reasons for food waste ... 


- refining the grains ... 

we take all the goodness 

out of our rice and wheat 

this leads to food waste

because you then want bigger helpings 

as refined grains are less satisfying ... 


- one portion fits all ! 

in restaurants there is only a childs portion 

and an adults portion, if that ... 

there should be at least 3 portion sizes to choose from ... 

the nursing home ... / hospital camp

i just want to die, 

this home is costing alot of money 

that i want to leave to my younger relatives ... 

Im just a nuisance to everybody ... 

sooner this is all over the better ...

I think that you may have given me your cold.  I've heard of computer viruses being passed on to other computers but this may be the first time that a human virus gets passed on through computer contact. :-)

curried salad ... 

make a red thai curry paste eg red pepper, garlic, ginger, lemongrass 

tomato puree, thai basil, zest and juice of lime, 

into a blender, with a little oil and water 

and use as a salad dressing ...

cooking for one person ... 

frozen salad ... 

some salad vegetables are ok to freeze 

eg red peppers, chopped tomatoes, small dark green salad leaves 

or baby spinach leaves, 

these ingredients will also keep for more than one day in the fridge 

also some fresh herbs, depending on their use-by date

i made this salad, with soya yoghurt 

balsamic vinegar, and rapeseed oil
