dark food
am
because it goes down and then up again ...
i stopped having cake every day and have a flapjack if i need something
which is more energising for your metabolism
and then cake occasionally.
It has also been very cold here
and I'm hoping that i will lose weight burning it off in the cold
Im also trying to remember how i lost weight before
eg Susie Orbach principle of eating when hungry and stopping when full
paying attention to nutrition ... e.g. b vitamins and iodine
and my nephews advice :
its not how much you eat so much as what ...

rude food : red pesto
150815 4pm
you put all that in the blender
and the fragrance and aroma ...
red peppers, sundried tomatoes , rapeseed oil,
fresh basil, goes in the blender, with maybe a little water if needed.
and then stir in ground almonds and grated parmesan
great with wholegrain spaghetti
and then you get the extra vitamins with that. ..

technocrats
300515 12.45 pm
things can kind of escalate
with you wanting a bigger thrill
020615 8pm
appreciating the trees and nature and company
uninterrupted by a smartphone ...
030615 pm
searching Google at a dinner party
on my smartphone
to understand what people are talking about ...
' no just replying to someone '
12.20pm
the technology that is supposed to be so convenient
to help us communicate
has become a burden, a barrier ...
paranoia means you think people are thinking about you ...
what you mean me ... !
4pm
there used to be people who couldn't operate computers
now they are all using smartphones ...

Hops 2
020215
Mead (/ˈmiːd/; archaic and dialectal "medd"; from Old English "meodu") is an alcoholic beverage created by fermenting honey with water, and in adulterated form with various fruits, spices, grains or hops.(Hops act as a preservative and produce a bitter, beer-like flavor.) The alcoholic content of mead may range from about 8% ABV to more than 20%. The defining characteristic of mead is that the majority of the beverage's fermentable sugar is derived from honey. It may be still, carbonated, or naturally sparkling; and it may be dry, semi-sweet, or sweet.
Mead is known from many sources of ancient history throughout Europe, Africa and Asia. "It can be regarded as the ancestor of all fermented drinks," Maguelonne Toussaint-Samat has speculated, "antedating the cultivation of the soil."Hornsey considers archaeological evidence of it ambiguous;[9] however, McGovern and other archaeological chemists consider the presence of beeswax markers and gluconic acid, in the presence of other substances known to ferment, to be reasonably conclusive evidence of the use of honey in ancient fermented beverages.
Claude Lévi-Strauss makes a case for the invention of mead as a marker of the passage "from nature to culture." Mead has played an important role in the beliefs and mythology of some peoples. One such example is the Mead of Poetry, a mead of Norse mythology crafted from the blood of the wise being Kvasir which turns the drinker into a poet or scholar.
The terms "mead" and "honey-wine" are often used synonymously. Honey-wine is differentiated from mead in some cultures. Hungarians hold that while mead is made of honey, water and beer-yeast (barm), honey-wine is watered honey fermented by recrement of grapes (or other fruits)
