 Billy is her brother . But who is he really ? people assume you know your brother . Hes had umpteen fights with drug dealers, and has hinted at homosexual prostitution , and how much he hated it 

 

and rarely does he hint at anything , usually he doesnt say much . People assume hes damaged . Maybe he just doesnt want them to know whats going on. or obviously he cant say when there are drug dealing icebergs involved . he may be trying to protect his family and friends from them   . international gangsters and stuff . sometimes a sibling is the last person you would confide in 

 

the Reverend Timberly used to come and visit him when he was alive  . Rather than casting aspersions on Ellies character , or making her do a mans job 

 

n Ellie is already radicalized from her relationship , so it seems fitting that she go into a drug den to pull her brother out
